On Friday 25 June, we hosted our first Just the Tonic event since reopening Metronome’s doors, headlined by Ed Byrne, with guests Adam Bloom and Simon Wozniak.
After a few months of Just the Tonic Comedy Club events being online only, we couldn’t wait for comedians to be back on our stage in front of a live audience. Although Covid-19 restrictions were still in place, we were able to put on two great nights of stand-up comedy at the weekend with Ed Byrne headlining Friday 25 June, and Reginald D Hunter headlining Saturday 26 June.
Alongside Ed Byrne, we were treated to sets from Adam Bloom and Simon Wozniak, as well as compere Tiernan Douieb on the Friday night. We were also privileged enough to see Leo Kearse, Steve Shanyaski and compere Hayley Ellis support Reginald D Hunter on the Saturday night.
Metronome promoter, Kristi Maria is thrilled to have Just the Tonic back on our stage.
“We were very excited for Just the Tonic Comedy Club to bring some of the best stand-up comedians back to our stage and perform in front of a live audience again, and we’re so glad these events will return to Metronome every weekend.”
We’ve got plenty more shows coming up with Just the Tonic Comedy Club, including Jason Manford, Milton Jones, Tez Ilyas, Alison Spittle and more. Take a look at our What’s On page to find out more and book your tickets.
