Post‑punk art‑rock trio Young Knives bring their Mercury Prize‑nominated debut album Voices of Animals and Men back to the stage for a special 20th anniversary tour. Originally released in 2006 and produced by Gang of Four’s Andy Gill, the album features the Top 40 singles Here Comes The Rumour Mill, She’s Attracted To, and Weekends and Bleak Days (Hot Summer).

Frontman Henry Dartnall describes revisiting the record as a chance to reconnect with the raw, energetic songwriting that first defined the band, calling the era “funny, drinky… thoughtful, very memorable, and life‑changing.”

Formed in 1996 in Ashby‑de‑la‑Zouch, Young Knives built a devoted following through their outsider aesthetic, explosive live shows and off‑kilter videos, earning heavy rotation on MTV2 and radio support from BBC Radio 1 and 6 Music. Their early success led to a Mercury Prize nomination and a string of acclaimed albums, including Superabundance, Ornaments From the Silver Arcade, Sick Octave, Barbarians, and Landfill.

This anniversary tour follows their sold‑out 2025 dates and offers fans a rare chance to celebrate the album that launched their career.

Support comes from London trio Hot Face, who have just released their debut album Automated Response via producer Dan’s Speedy Wunderground imprint.
