[POSTPONED] The Ultimate Battle of the Bands

*Unfortunately, this student event has been postponed in response to the Coronavirus outbreak and Nottingham Trent University’s announcement on Monday 16 March, which can be viewed here. We will announce further details about the rescheduling of the event as soon as possible.*

Come along and witness the best upcoming bands from Confetti and NTU as they battle it out for the top prizes, in front of a panel of industry judges. Expect a lively evening of rock, indie and alternative music. The event will be being filmed for a TV show that will be aired on Notts TV.

Prizes for the bands including a master of the live recording of their set cut to disk. The winning band will also win a slot at Splendour Festival on the confetti stage. The first runner-up will win a day recording in Metronome’s Studio 1. The second runner-up will win an A&R meeting with music industry professional.

Guests won’t be left feeling out, with free drink giveaways, free pizza and drink offers running throughout the night. Top prizes will also be given away at the end of the night, including Splendour tickets, Metronome event tickets, signed copies of vinyls and more.

The judges that have been announced so far are:

  • Samuel Heaton – Bookings at DHP Family and member of Eyre Llew
  • Becky Timmins – Music Editor at LeftLion
  • Will Robinson – Managing Director of I’m Not From London
