On ‘Homeland’, Keita explores his identity, sense of belonging and questions the very idea of home through soulful ballads, pop anthems, and irresistibly dancey songs led by electrifying percussion set up. Transitional musical poetry written and delivered by award-winning poets is beautifully woven into the music, making this a one-of-a-kind live experience.

With this show, Seckou’s magical 22-string Kora is perfectly integrated into an impressive and electrifying set which often bursts into joyful, percussive dance tracks infused with infectious rhythms. For the first time in over ten years, Seckou will be playing his Kora standing up, a tradition that shaped the early part of his career and which was initially inspired by his uncle and mentor, the late Solo Cissokho, one of Senegal’s most famous pop stars.
