Part of the Sol Sistema Festival.

Headlining Wednesday night of the Sol Sistema festival in Whitechapel is G. a soulful vocalist, truthful songwriter, creative producer and captivating performer. Her unique musical style full of surf-toned guitars and warm flowing melodies reflect her childhood and teenage years on the coast of southern Spain. Now based in London, the city’s pulse and the diverse sounds surrounding her daily have woven their way into her production, giving it a vibrant, dynamic edge. Support comes from current masters students Magill and Naiko.

Support comes from Magill and Naiko.  Magill’s bright pop sound and unique vocal tone is influenced by her background in jazz vocals and most admired artists such as Maggie Rogers, Rachael Price of Lake Street Dive, and Lady Gaga. Her debut song, American Girl, came out in October and she will be releasing several more this summer.

Naiko’s music is raw, soulful, and deeply immersive – blending poetic storytelling with groove-driven soundscapes. Raised in choirs and shaped by gospel ensembles, his voice carries the weight of emotion and experience. Early immersion in African drumming gave him a deep rhythmic instinct, later enriched by Latin influences in his early 20s.

Sol Sistema is a multimedia festival in Whitechapel running from Tuesday 13th to Friday 16th May, hosted at the Nottingham School of Art & Design’s London campus, including its state-of-the-art Metronome venue. This ticket also gives access to Industry conneX on Wednesday 14th where award-winning creative producers in audio and video showcase their work, alongside the most innovative companies, developing the hardware and software that power the creative industries, demonstrating their latest products.
