Join us for a little live music and a lot of clothes swapping! Do your bit to derobe for the globe!

For Frocks Sake! is a simple, sustainable way to refresh your wardrobe and keep clothes out of landfills.

Get your frocks off… rules of the rail:

  • This is an advanced ticketed event only
  • Sort up to ten good quality garments/shoes/accessories you no longer need/what you would be proud to pass on
  • Drop donations off from Thursday 14 April  NG25 or NG4 – but no later than Tuesday 19 April. Message For Frocks Sake once you’ve purchased your ticket for the drop off address at [email protected] 
  • Alternatively, you can drop your donations off at Metronome reception during the week commencing Monday 11 – Thursday 14 April any time between 9am-5pm (Marco Island, Huntingdon St, Nottingham NG1 1AP to Metronome reception)
  • Arrive promptly on the day at 7.30pm for a pre-swap drink, enjoy some live music and sneak a peek at some of the garments up for swaps. If you are late, we cannot wait for the event to begin… don’t miss out!
  • There will be wares for sale from Little Eco Loft and the Little plant guys 
  • The event will finish around 9.30pm
  • ‘Frock’ your way around the rails; choosing treasures you’d like to take home
  • There will be opportunities to try clothes on
  • Be polite, it’s a party….not a riot!
  • No frocks get left behind. The remaining items will be donated to a local charity
  • Sadly no refunds will be allowed

PLEASE ENSURE CLOTHES ARE:

  • Clean/ready to hang – if possible please wash your items before bringing them to swap. Hangers will be provided
  • For Frocks Sake are size inclusive and rely on donations to make this possible
  • Bring the quality that you’d expect to find
  • No damaged items – check for holes, wear & tear, missing buttons, stains, etc
  • No underwear
  • No worn out items eg. greying whites
  • No children’s clothing

All unswapped garments will be donated to Children’s Air Ambulance in West Bridgford.

The charity provides inter-hospital transfer service flying babies and children from one hospital to another for specialist care. They work with NHS paediatric and neonatal retrieval teams across the UK, enabling them to bring their specialist equipment on board to safely transfer their patients from one hospital to another. Their ability to fly approximately four times faster than a land ambulance, can minimise travel times and the risk for little patients.
