Join us for a special live in‑conversation event with Blur’s Dave Rowntree, who will be sitting down with the BBC’s Dean Jackson as part of his book tour celebrating the release of his debut photography collection, No One You Know: Dave Rowntree’s Early Blur Photos.

Publishing by Hero (part of the Legend Times Group) and edited by journalist and broadcaster Miranda Sawyer, this stunning 200+ page hardback offers an unprecedented, fly‑on‑the‑wall glimpse into Blur’s formative years. Captured through the lens of Rowntree’s trusty Olympus OM10, the book charts the band’s journey from wide‑eyed newcomers to rising global phenomenon—long before the pressures of fame took hold.

Featuring hundreds of previously unseen photographs, it reveals the moments that happened between the headlines: downtime in dressing rooms, late‑night laughs, meals grabbed on the go, restless travel, and the easy camaraderie of four young musicians on the brink of something extraordinary. As Rowntree himself describes, these images show “what life in Blur was really like… when the TV cameras and tape recorders were turned off.”

The book also includes a heartfelt foreword and memory‑rich captions from Rowntree, offering personal, honest, and unfiltered reflections. The result is a rare insider perspective — one of the only four people who truly lived every chaotic, joyful, messy and exhilarating second of early Blur.

Copies of No On You Know will be available to purchase at this event.
