Have your mixes critiqued by world-class engineer/producer/mixer Marta Salogni (Bjork, Bon Iver, Dream Wife).
This is a rare chance to send your mixes to a world-class engineer who has worked with some of the biggest acts in the world including Bjork, Bon Iver and M.I.A, and more recently Dream Wife, Anna Meredith and The Orielles.
Ticket holders can submit their mixes for Marta to listen to by Monday 1 March. She’ll suggest tips on how to improve them using her extensive experience working with the cream of alternative music. Along the way, you’ll get chance to ask Marta about her own processes from engineering through to production and mixing.
How to submit a mix for consideration
Please send a full quality unmastered mix as a WAV via something that isn’t permissions based (wetransfer.com is ideal) to John Meredith by Monday 1 March – the WAV music must be labelled with your name and ticket number.
The mixes must be mixed by a non-professional mix engineer: this is designed to make sure the help goes to the people who can benefit most. They must not be ‘works in progress’ – in your eyes they’re as good as you can get, so please carefully review whether it’s done. If something is badly played or badly recorded, the mix generally will be much harder to critique.
We cannot guarantee your mix will get critiqued, but we hope the discussions using other mixes will be beneficial to everyone.
