Georgina Wilding

Georgina Wilding was crowned Nottingham’s first Young Poet Laureate in 2017, and is the former Creative Director of Nottingham Poetry Festival, as well as the Founding Editor of Mud Press. She has performed her work both nationally and internationally at events such as the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Bright Spark, Hit the Ode, and Off Milosz festival in Poland. As well as this, she has been commissioned by organisations such as The Royal Shakespeare Company and BBC Radio Nottingham to write and perform, and has been published in literary journals such as “The Rialto” and “Kontent.”

In 2020 she was invited to the Apples and Snakes Black Box series to contribute her work, and was also invited to write a piece on the coronavirus pandemic for Manchester Writing School’s ‘Write We Are Now’ project.

Henry is a writer, poet and TV and Film producer and co-founder of the Nottingham Poetry Festival. In  2017 he was honoured with a special BAFTA for services to Television. Henry has 9 poetry collections in print and has a regular show on BBC Radio 4.

“Bittersweet poetry with a sublimely observant wit” – Guardian

He was recently given a honorary doctorate of letters by Nottingham Trent University, another by University of Nottingham, and has had a beer and a bus named after him in Nottingham!
