For the third event of the series, Henry Normal is joined by published poet, Lorraine Mariner for an evening of poetry and discussions – and it’s free for all.

The 1 hour session will take place on Zoom where viewers will have the chance to ask their own questions. Ticket holders will receive a link on the day of the event.

Lorraine Mariner

Lorraine Mariner lives in London and works at the National Poetry Library, Southbank Centre. She has published two collections with Picador, “Furniture” (2009) and “There Will Be No More Nonsense” (2014) and has been shortlisted for the Forward Prize twice, for Best Single Poem and Best First Collection, and for the Seamus Heaney Centre Poetry Prize. Her most recent publication is the poetry chapbook, “Anchorage” with Grey Suit Editions (2020).

Henry Normal

Henry is a writer, poet and TV and Film producer and co-founder of the Nottingham Poetry Festival. In  2017 he was honoured with a special BAFTA for services to Television. Henry has 9 poetry collections in print and has a regular show on BBC Radio 4.

Idiosyncratic and effortlessly funny – Radio Times

Bittersweet poetry with a sublimely observant wit – Guardian

He was recently given a honorary doctorate of letters by Nottingham Trent University, another by University of Nottingham, and has had a beer and a bus named after him in Nottingham!
