Metronome welcomed renowned poet Caroline Bird, where she didn’t fail to astound, she brought the audience to tears – of laughter, for the most part. Bird’s support came from Nottingham Poetry Festival Creative Director, Georgina Wilding, delivering a new collection on her experiences growing up in Arnold. Ioney Smallhorne also supported, providing audiences with some fantastic work produced for her MA in Creative Writing & Education.
We have more Nottingham Poetry Festival events this week including The Guardian First Book winner, Andrew McMillan, a poetry critic masterclass from Sandeep Parmar, and Linton Kwesi Johnson’s political, vital and necessary musings.
