NUSIC ACADEMY WORKSHOP AND ADVICE FAIR:

NUSIC helps Nottingham musicians acquire knowledge, skills and contacts to get their music wherever they want it to go. The theme for the March Q&A panel is ‘Radio’. Music industry experts will advise you on how to get your music on the radio.

Featuring…

– Phil Taggart – Host of BBC Radio 1’s ‘Chillest Show’ and ‘Hype Chart’.

– Sophie K – Kerrang! Breakfast radio host, plus Radio 1 Cover Presenter.

– James Farrelly – Digital Streaming Manager at Ministry of Sound (Sony Music UK)

*Please note unfortunatley Snoochie from BBC R1 Xtra can no longer make this event due to a diary clash*

ADVICE FAIR – Like a freshers fair, loads of ‘musician helping’ organisations for you to meet and get advice from, eg. how they can help you. From Arts Council England to Musicians Union (full list below)

The Workshop will focus on advice on what you should, and shouldn’t do, to get your music on the radio.

Alongside this, before and after, we will also run the Nusic Advice Fair offering you the chance to get free informal one on one expert advice. Previous entities have included…
