South Korea’s Red Pig Flower is a Berlin based video & sound artist as well as a techno DJ, musician and producer. Trained in four-dimensional time-based art at the prestigious Central Saint Martins in London, she has also been pursuing a serious DJ career with bookings at famous nightclubs across the globe, from London to Berlin to Tokyo and beyond. For this performance at Metronome, Red Pig will be creating a conceptual sound show, utilising her DJ skills to explore ‘techno as a ritual’.

M-Flute is an audiovisual performance that uses an electronically modified flute; with sensors that read light, motion and inclination to manage digital audio and video in real time. The dynamic audiovisual performance consists musical improvisation, remediated live through shapes, lines and points projected on a screen. Filippo Gualazzi (visuals), Alessia Damiani (electronics), Alessia Lorrai (M-Flute)

Simone Sims Longo is a composer and performer of electronic music. He is interested in creating and processing sound in the digital domain, focused on timbre exploration with different techniques: physical modelling synthesis, sound granulation, FM synthesis, signal processing and digital deconstruction of concrete sounds. Numerous are his live-sets dedicated to the dancefloor exploring techno, experimentation and the most advanced part of club music. Simone will be presenting a highly dynamic and immersive audio-visual performance.

This event is part of UKYA City Takeover; bringing 250 artists from 25 countries to Nottingham for 7 days of free performances, exhibitions, workshops and events. Visit www.ukyoungartists.co.uk for the full programme.
