David Buckingham & Aloma de Balma (The Seville Project)

Flamenco dancer Aloma de Balma joins David Buckingham and his group for a night of high quality music and dance, which blends flamenco with blues, jazz, and contemporary music.

David cut his teeth as a flamenco guitarist with some of the finest flamenco artists in Seville, Spain when he was a teenager. He then returned to the UK to play in a west end production by the Gipsy Kings and has since recorded and toured with artists such as Plácido Domingo, Juanito Makndé and The Royal Ballet and released two solo albums to critical acclaim.

Aloma de Balma is one of the most in-demand flamenco dancers in Spain.

The Seville Project sees David team up with the best musicians and dancers he has met during his time performing and recording in Spain and put on a show with original music, original arrangements, and original choreography. The result is an exciting and fresh production which fuses flamenco with blues and contemporary styles.

“All the pieces are superbly recorded and played, and it’s good to hear so much Englishness coming through those Spanish influenced compositions. I defy anyone to better the virtuosity displayed in these pieces.” Gordon Giltrap

We are offering Confetti and NTU students £4.50 tickets for this show. Just go to this link and use your student email address to obtain the discount:  http://www.gigantic.com/david-buckingham-tickets-student-4609
